ARE WE HAVING FUN YET?

Free falling in nightmares off skyscrapers, cliffs and bridges are normally relieved by a stark awakening of reality—it was only a dream; a really bad one at that, as sweat soaks your sheets.  We manage to get on with our “real lives” but every time we go up in that glass elevator we ponder:  What if the wires popped and suddenly I found myself bracing for the gruesome crash?  Ladies and gentlemen – 1 million homes in foreclosure by the end of 2008 is a free falling nightmare, full of reality, angst and a staggering recognition that one in three homes for sale will be “bank owned” in the world’s foremost conspicuous consumptive nation – or, better yet, given the immense $5 Trillion-Dollar bailouts (and counting—awaiting the inevitable crash of the US dollar) wrought by the FED and a compliant Congress/Executive – our American dreams of home ownership, 401Ks (untouched by the Democrats), hedge fund annuities of impregnable worth, grandiose retirements from federally-insured pension funds…well, in point of fact, a car in every garage and a chicken in every pot seems to be disintegrating like a slow motion train wreck cascading off an old railroad bridge in a Western movie with folks screaming and jumping off the nightmarish trestle somehow seeking a better fate than to mangle in the debris somewhere in the river and rocks below. 

The solution to this train wreck:  Let the government own it!  The leaders of the world are gathered this post-election weekend (Nov. 14-15, 2008) – not in Singapore or Rome – not in Peking or Tokyo – not in Berlin or London – but in Washington, D.C. . . . for as the world plunges into recession and even depression – it will be the USA which world leaders declare shall lead us out of the financial calamity!

Now, one in five homes in the 7.5 million San Francisco Bay Area are “upside down” – meaning, not only is there no equity in the home as values descend (with no end in sight), but folks are holding on to a worthless piece of real estate and may as well walk from their looser, cut their losses and live to see another day in the sun somewhere beyond the blues of their bogus investment—besides, all this business about homes not being an investment but a “home” is crazy; after all, we’ve been told so many times that one’s castle is one’s biggest “investment” – let alienation reign supreme, I just live there anyway, so movin’ on is the American way!  And, you had better move because the much-tooted $700bn bailout won’t effect the redemption of your mortgage one iota—and don’t blame all the CNN bandits who are playing the role of the scapegoat by a manipulative government hell-bent on raising home ownership…forcing mortgage lenders to loan to bogus credit risks…man, these hearings are a farce.  Anybody and anything but government policy hacks and their Rep-Dem accomplices – please, just jump off the train, thank you.

You could have gotten off at the last stop—but you decided to roll the dice one more time.  The temptation to buy and sell was just too great…buy low, sell high; but you failed to realize that the big boys, even the Warren Buffets riding on the train were heading for the same fate as you.  You thought that if he stayed on the train that everything was fine—surely, he must know what he’s doing, right?  Wrong again…and the train keeps rollin’ with BOTH of you on it cascading into the abyss of financial free fall.

End in sight?  No, not with $950 Trillion in those mysterious financial instruments exchanged by your friendly financial planner, hedge fund manager and banker extraordinaire.  You thought that these high rollers were somehow different than you—not realizing that their greed could legally be leveraged to the uttermost with everyone else’s money…and play they have until there’s no tomorrow, but tomorrow has come and play time is over, and now as our beloved Rev. Jeremiah Wright has so aptly ridiculed:  The chickens have come home to roost!

The Ascent of Money, by Niall Ferguson, is an ominous forecast wherein, led by the USA, the world economies plunge into a 20-year recession a la Japan’s zero interest rate-stock market collapse-housing collapse, etc.  Furguson does NOT paint a pretty picture as the USA plunges the world into a horrid depression wrought by devious derivatives due and payable by the trillions.  Furthermore – and thanks to greedy hedge fund managers and USA governmental plutocrats like Treasury Secretary Paulson (who made off with a $600 Million-Dollar tax-free golden parachute) led us to believe the $700Bn bailout would address the mortgage crisis, only to turn tail and use it for the gas-guzzling auto industry and the rascals who got us into this mess to begin with—all the while the public has utterly no idea what the h-e-double-toothpicks is going on around here!

Meanwhile, we’ll debate the Proposition 8’s (legalization of same sex marriage)—that’ll keep ‘um busy while the banks, credit card companies, auto makers, insurance companies, ad nausea ad infinitum, are nationalized.  All messianic claims to deliver the economy and world’s financial consternations by a new age of social change – the CAN DO MAN ON THE WHITE HORSE – are increasingly couched in guarded reservations of “it may have to wait while….”  

 

AND WHAT OF THE SPIRIT THAT PERVADES OUR FRUITED PLAIN – AFTER THE ELECTION?

Gays and lesbians are outraged over their social disgrace here in California—with Blacks and Hispanics siding with the “traditionalists” – like Catholics, Mormons and most white evangelicals.  But on a much more ominous note, the “church militant” isn’t going to sit around and take it any longer – so immovable object meets irresistible force – check out what the Catholics think of “Obama supporters” – let alone Barack himself:

“Our nation has chosen for its chief executive the most radical pro-abortion politician ever to serve in the United States Senate or to run for president,” Newman wrote, referring to Obama by his full name, including his middle name of Hussein.

“Voting for a pro-abortion politician when a plausible pro-life alternative exists (viz. John McCain) constitutes material cooperation with intrinsic evil, and those Catholics who do so place themselves outside of the full communion of Christ's Church and under the judgment of divine law. Persons in this condition should not receive Holy Communion until and unless they are reconciled to God in the Sacrament of Penance, lest they eat and drink their own condemnation.” (Rev. Jay Scott Newman, St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Greenville, S.C. – SC priest:  No communion for Obama supporters; by Meg Kinnard, Associated Press Writer, Yahoo News, Nov. 13, 2008)

That’s only the tip of an iceberg that broke off the Ross Shelf the size of Connecticut (no pun intended, now that Connecticut has crossed the Gay Marriage Remagen).   If President Elect Obama takes his ultra liberal agenda to the max (openly gay in the military, rampant abortion, reversal of some 200 Bush Executive Orders, etc.) – well, he’s going to incur the wrath of the “church militant” – the same group whereof Jesus said:

“Now it came to pass, when the time had come for Him to be received up (i.e., “crucified”), that He steadfastly set His face to go to Jerusalem, and sent messengers before His face.  And as they went, they entered a village of the Samaritans, to prepare for Him.  But they did not receive Him, because His face was set for the journey to Jerusalem.  And when His disciples James and John saw this, they said, ‘Lord, do You want us to command fire to come down from heaven and consume them, just as Elijah did?’  But He turned and rebuked them, and said, ‘You do not know what manner of spirit you are of.  For the Son of Man did not come to destroy men’s lives but to save them.’ And they went to another village” (Luke 9:51-56).

“Command fire to come down from heaven and consume them!”  Wow, that’s heavy.  Jesus didn’t wait around to respond to the “church militant” – He struck at the root of the problem:  Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of!  Embracing the cross is not for the faint of heart…when His time came, when our times come…will we, as He, embrace the cross or will we call down fire from heaven to consume the lot of the inhospitable?  I can assure you this much – given what is going on in America today and the reaction which awaits Obama Mania – Katie bar the door, the sons of thunder, James and John (Mark 3:17), were at the ready to blast that bunch of Samaritans to smithereens – anything to avoid the Cross of Christ!

That leads me to a most difficult and disturbing ingredient within the confines of American Empire.  For in Babylon the Great we have in view a militant apostasy – a “church” whose gold-gilded exterior belies a putridity of spirit so noxious, so vehemently contrary to the Cross of Christ, that it’s downright scary.  To confront it shall be our lot, if we are to endure unto the end.  To testify against it will be the true Testimony of Jesus.  No, she does not occupy the other side of our coin – she stands in stark contrast to the Bride of the Lamb.  She rides atop the Beast – the picture is too clear – the Apostate Church (be it Catholic, Protestant or Evangelical or whatever the religious persuasion or denomination) shall attempt her control of the welcoming Beast for whom she provides such splendid moral covering as this ten-horned, ten-headed Beast from the Abyss completes his worldwide quest of subjugation and terror.  Then, in tortured retribution, the State shall turn upon this Mother of Harlots, and “hate the harlot, make her desolate and naked, eat her flesh and burn her with fire” (Revelation 17:16).

Talk about ending a relationship—rather final, I’d say.  Hardly a pleasant parting of the waves.  Sounds like a great deal of frustration and animosity in this most unusual alignment of interests, to say the least.  History has a most tragic conclusion, The eunuchs who toss Queen Jezebel out the second story window . . . well, you’ve got to read this little tale, this metaphorical masterpiece wherein the intelligence of dogs astounds (i.e., they left the painted and perfumed parts of her body and probably had these extremities burned with fire (“scattered as refuse on the field”), they were so contaminated).

“Now when Jehu had come to Jezreel, Jezebel heard of it; and she put paint on her eyes and adorned her head, and looked through a window.  Then, as Jehu entered at the gate, she said, ‘Is it peace, Zimri, murderer of your master?’  And he looked up at the window, and said, ‘Who is on my side?  Who?’  So two or three eunuchs looked out at him.  Then he said, ‘Throw her down.’  So they threw her down, and some of her blood spattered on the wall and on the horses; and he trampled her underfoot.  And when he had gone in, he ate and drank (My Note:  The very idea!)  then he said, ‘Go now, see to this accursed woman, and bury her, for she was a king’s daughter.’  So they went to bury her, but they found no more of her than the skull and the feet and the palms of her hands (Note:  Dogs are smart—they couldn’t stand the painted and perfumed parts.).  Therefore, they came back and told him.  And he said, ‘This is the word of the LORD, which He spoke by His servant Elijah the Tishbite, saying, ‘On the plot of ground at Jezreel dogs shall eat the flesh of Jezebel; and the corps of Jezebel shall be as refuse on the surface of the field, in the plot at Jezreel, so they shall not say, ‘Her lies Jezebel.’” (II Kings 9:30-37).

So the woman who “stirred him up” – ‘ole King Ahab – the woman who made the wimp, King Ahab, “who sold himself to do wickedness in the sight of the Lord” and who “behaved very abominably in following idols, according to all that the Amorites had done” (I Kings 21:25-26) – that woman of wretched Apostasy, Jezebel, shall on that day be cast down, made desolate, naked, her flesh eaten and her refuge shall be burned with fire!  The Scriptures spare no words in the termination of this frightful personage whose contamination of Israel is prolonged in her contamination of the Apostate Church – both seeking the State’s pleasure and both causing the State to turn on her and devour her in such a manner.

THE DIALOGUE – THE CHURCH MILITANT – WHAT MANNER OF SPIRIT IS THIS?

The Lord has pressed on my heart what will happen if Obama wins the election; that is that Israel would be abandoned by the USA in favor of other more pressing matters.  He won, and now you will see that EVERY Nation on the earth will turn its back on Israel, including her previously staunch ally, America.  I was praying and praying that the Lord would "give us more time to see America repent"...On the other hand, I also pray "Maranatha Lord! or Come quickly"...This has felt sort of oxymoronic as I have prayed these things through...God has answered and America has had her grace revoked.  

We as a Church body must now be doing nothing more than reaching out to the lost with His message of salvation because the time is short.  The world is almost completely set up for us to finally have the "man of sin" (antichrist) revealed, and He is coming quickly. And, no.  I am not calling Barack Obama the Antichrist (although Muslim Louis Farrakhan did call him "the Messiah." (see link below).  I think the Antichrist will come from another direction...like Russia....But, the chessboard is in position and everything as Revelation, Daniel, Zechariah, and Joel has listed, is about to come to pass.  Reach out to the lost and "take hold of the skirt of the Jew..."(Zechariah) even if they refuse to listen...Paul says they must be "provoke(d) them to jealousy" (Romans).

I couldn't agree more.  Yet, I disagree with Doug as according to Daniel 8:7 

Dan 7:8 I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.  KJV

I'm quite familiar with Daniel and nowhere does it say that the antichrist is "Greco-Roman" and the reference to the King of the North and the South, biblical scholars attribute that to pertaining to Atiochus (sic.) Epiphanes (Antiochus IV Epiphanes) and not the antichrist.  Since the former is a type and shadow of the latter and both are mentioned in Daniel the mistake is understandable.

Dear Anonymous Writer #2 - I do not have immediate time to delve into Daniel 7-8; however, I have substantially covered the progression of Western Civilization in my/our writings and have cited numerous evangelical scholars as to why Antichrist is Greco-Roman or the full expression of Western Civilization and not Jewish, Catholic, Islam or the New Age (Guru, etc.).  Furthermore, there are numerous evangelical scholars/eschatologists who view Daniel 11:40-45 wherein the antecedent of "he" and "him" is in reference to Antichrist, and NOT the King of the North or the King of the South and that this conflict has far more to do with Gog/Magog wherein to the north are the peoples of modern-day Turkey/Persia and to the south are "Egypt/Libya/Sudan" (Cush/Ethiopia) who will collide with the pre-positioned forces of Antichrist.

If you wish to find out more - please check out our website - I realize that many American evangelicals find it most difficult to come to terms with the USA as that final expression of Babylon the Great, and therein lies the rub--however, may we consider a more viable option to insure the security of the modern state of Israel?  Israel will NOT conclude a defense pact with any of the European States nor with the sum total of the Quartet--she understandably cannot trust any of them!  To think, as some do, that that "covenant/treaty/defense fact" is "economic in nature" violates the hermeneutic of the text--at stake is the Security of Israel--her reliance on any Gentile World Power to guarantee her security is what outrages the Almighty and for this Isaiah ascribes it as “your Treaty with Death, your agreement with Hell.”

I am not sure you are referring to Daniel 7:8 or 8:7—after reading your responses…Daniel 7:8 is in reference to the "younger horn" (a "little one"), coming up among them (i.e., the 10 horns) - this “younger horn” is an extension of the fourth beast of Dan. 7:7, which most expositors assert is the Roman Empire--the "fourth empire" seen at the “lower extremities” of the Image seen by both Nebuchadnezzar and Daniel. 

At issue is “when” does this “little horn” appear?

These 10 horns upon the FOURTH BEAST are undoubtedly connected to the final 10 horns of the BEAST of Revelation 13:1--yet, Daniel clearly sees the 11th Horn as separate and distinct from the initial 10; therefore, its outcropping and the ripping out of three horns is pertinent and that this "11th horn" is the ultimate Antichrist, who, in accordance with countless expositors, is the Antichrist of the Latter Days.  He is OUT FROM the Ancient Roman Empire as the FOURTH BEAST which is absolutely ROMAN in its ultimate character!

Now, dear one in Christ, when you refer to Daniel 8:7, we have the ram with two horns (the Medo-Persian Empire) - it is the GRECIAN (Alexander the Great) MALE GOAT which "grew very great; but when he became strong, the large horn (Alexander the Great who came against the two-horned Medo-Persian Empire as a single horned Ram) was broken, and in place of it four notable ones came up toward the four winds of heaven (Note:  These are the four primary "kingdoms" who inherited the Grecian/Goat Empire at the death of Alexander the Great in ancient Babylon:

1.       In 321 B.C. Ptolemy took possession and eventually ruled Egypt (the southern part of the empire).

2.       In 317 B.C. Cassander assumed the government of Macedon (Macedonia), the western part of the empire.

3.       In 311 B.C. Seleucus took over Babylon and Syria (the eastern part of the empire).

4.       In 306 B.C. Antigonus declared himself king of Asia Minor (the northern part of the empire). He was slain in battle in 301                   B.C. and was succeeded by Lysimachus.)

At issue is your misinterpretation that the final Antichrist is not "GRECO-ROMAN" in origin and character; however, may I direct your attention to Daniel 8:9-14 wherein "out of one of them (the antecedent of "them" is literally "out of one of the four" came a "little horn" (or "younger horn" - the very same expression as used in Daniel 7:8) - and without hesitation this "little horn" is totally connected to the GRECO kingdoms/general(s) who inherited the empire of Alexander the Great - let us once again clearly delineate the GRECO-NATURE of this horn and its total connectivity to the Antichrist, yet future:

“And out of one of them came a little horn which grew exceedingly great toward the south, toward the east, and toward the Glorious Land.  And it grew up to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and some of the stars to the ground, and trampled them (Note:  This is undoubtedly the cosmic nature of Satan himself who shall incarnate into the latter days Antichrist himself!).  He even exalted himself as high as the Prince of the host (i.e., the high priest of Israel and yet, there is behind this our very High Priest, our Lord Jesus Christ); and by him the daily sacrifices were taken away, and the place of His sanctuary was cast down (Note:  This is not only an allusion to "Antiochus IV Epiphanes, who came out of Syria (GRECO--100%) to persecute the Jews (in his efforts to Hellenize the Jews) and profane the temple between 171 and 164 B.C. - but he is a type of the Antichrist of the last days, as well as of all godless world rulers which actively oppose God's people” (Note:  The latter part is an exact quote from the “Spirit Filled Bible”, p. 1133).

I find it inconceivable that you cannot see that this “little/young horn” is not the Antichrist of the Latter Days nor that in Daniel 7 he is clearly associated with the Roman Empire (the Fourth Beast which follows the Third Beast with "four heads" of Daniel 7:6 which are ultimately described as the "four horns" of Daniel 8:8--i.e., "the large horn (Alexander the Great) was broken, and in place of it four notable ones (i.e., “horns”) came up toward the four winds of heaven."

This is precisely why I say that the Latter Day's Antichrist is GRECO-ROMAN in nature--the ultimate WESTERN MAN - for both these "little horns" are descriptive of the FOURTH and THIRD Beasts of Daniel 7 (Roman) and Daniel 8 (Grecian) - thence, GRECO-ROMAN.

So - are you an American Evangelical Christian?  Yes or No?  Why be offended at me calling you an American Evangelical Christian - if you're not, no big deal - however, it is utterly true that many American evangelicals find it most difficult to come to terms with the USA as that final expression of Babylon the Great--pray tell, if you would, which Gentile World Power shall orchestrate a Defense Pact with a regathered Israel (Daniel 9:27)--the EU?  Seriously, do you think Israel would be beholden to nations wholly caught up with the Holocaust?  I don't think so--not just because of the Holocaust, but the utter ineptitude of the EU, militarily!

When Commercial Babylon is destroyed in Revelation 18 - it seems very clear that the Beast and his armies--already positioned in the Middle East--shall collide with the Kings of the East and ultimately descend upon Jerusalem herself but is finally defeated by the return of the King of kings and Lord of lords in Revelation 19.

The Antichrist is undoubtedly representative of the FOUR HORSEMEN of the Apocalypse in Rev. 6; however, to disassociate the “King” - Antichrist - from his kingdom, Babylon the Great, is ludicrous - a king demands a kingdom, otherwise, he is no king.  Antichrist’s bastion of power is Babylon the Great which commands and commends the 10 to commend all authority and power to himself and to his kingdom.  Again, the ONLY WAY for America to abdicate her current role as world leader - militarily - economically - culturally, etc. - is through current American Evangelical Eschatologists like Tim LaHaye and Dr. David Jeremiah who clearly state that America’s end-time role is NOT mentioned in Bible prophecy; therefore, she must be fully diminished via:

1.  An attack from Russia - absurd to the extreme!

2.  Moral decline to the uttermost - Rome lasted for centuries in moral decline.

3.  Economic collapse - if so, the whole world will collapse--she is the reason for the present duress and the whole world looks to her to lift the world from depression!

4.  Cataclysmic Destruction--via meteor, tsunami/earthquakes/caldera, etc.

5.  Horrific plagues

My response is irrefutable:

“For here we have no continuing city, but we seek the one to come” (Heb. 13:14).

“For he waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God...but now they desire a better, that is, a heavenly country.  Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them” (Heb. 11).

May I draw you attention to the only Hallelujahs mentioned in the New Testament are connected to the very destruction of Babylon the Great--which you have concluded is the USA--there are three such Hallelujahs--but one stands out the most:

“Alleluia!  Her smoke rises up forever and ever!” (Rev. 19:1-3)

And, dear Anonymous Writer #2, I so warn you as well--for your heart is stuck within her walls--her religious walls at that--may the day come that you see her for what she really is and flee Babylon once and for all, for her putridity has reached to His nostrils and her abominations increase way and beyond what you apparently see - let her go - she is filled with the abominations of the earth which you decry as well - the Almighty wishes to rescue His children from her filth and uncleanness - there is NO REDEMPTIVE character left within her walls, none!  No wonder at the end of her abominations His people are miraculously raptured from her judgment (Rev. 18:4).  Whatever love you have for her is misplaced, ethereal and certainly has nothing to do with the redemption that is in Christ.

May it be said of you:

“Entreat me not to leave you, or to turn back from following after you; for wherever you go, I will go; and wherever you lodge, I will lodge; Your people shall be my people, and your God, my God, where you die, I will die, and there will I be buried.  The LORD do so to me, and more also, if anything but death parts you and me.” (Ruth 1:16-17)

I most certainly do mind that you publish my private e-mail, anonymously or not.  You sir are the one who invaded my private email box and those of other people minding their own business, now you want to take advantage again.  Do you use everyone in this fashion that you come across?  Does your self-serving and self-promotion know no bounds and are you so completely without any integrity? 

You now selectively answered only those portions of my email that suited you.  I did not email your convoluted web site, I only e-mailed you after you misrepresented Daniel 7:8 and invaded a lot of peoples’ email that you do not know and have no right to do so.  It was a private email not for publication.  I repeat MY PRIVATE E-MAIL IS NOT FOR PUBLICATON.   This is what I get for contacting you instead of reporting your harassing behavior to your ISP?  Which I will do if you proceed as you have threatened. Apparently when you were corrected, it was just too much for your ego and not knowing which _____ dared correct you publicly you proceeded to once again invade the privacy of two ______ email boxes without any hesitation.  I find that bordering on intimidation.  Yes, “bad you” - how cavalier you are when you preceded without personal integrity.  You are not only self-serving you are self aggrandizing and intellectually dishonest if you do publish my e-mail especially since I have asked you not to and because you edited it and without a reply to your selective and ad hoc replies. You of course avoided the comparisons of your hateful rhetoric to that of true prophets like Jeremiah and Ezekiel and Daniel who wept and prayed for their beloved Jerusalem.   And let me finish by saying that you are not qualified or called to hate America, since you do not have the wisdom God has.  Maybe God’s hatred is reserved for when America double crosses Israel.  It seems to me God is warning America, and unlike you who hate so readily, He is longsuffering and full of love and mercy.  You just hate America as all leftists do.

Once again I repeat, you do not have my permission to publish my private communication, but if you’re really interested in arriving at the truth I will take my precious time and debate you and your convoluted eschatology on your web site (unedited of course), so that people can really see what you are all about, if you aren't afraid of being exposed as the pseudo-scholar you pretend to be and be exposed as the wolf-in-sheep’s-clothing that you really are.

A difficult read, wasn’t it?  I hope you survived…enduring unto the end, at times, in matters of this nature is not easy, not at all.  However, I think you can discern between the lines—lines which have become increasingly apparent upon the American landscape.  Frankly, there’s not much middle ground left out there… “your either for the terrorists or against us” – brethren, some day real soon, we’re all going to have to choose, as Elijah once said:

“And Elijah came to all the people, and said, ‘How long will you falter between two opinions?  If the LORD is God, follow Him, but if Baal, follow him.’  But the people answered him not a word” (I Kings 18:21).

Middle ground will not exist here – faltering between two opinions will not be a viable alternative – “the people answered him not a word” – why?  Because they had become so compromised – the religion of Yahweh had become utterly diluted with its mixture with State aspirations, spurred on by trade with Tyre—that yet future trading Empire of the West whose ultimate fortunes struck it rich in the New World of the Americas—that the Israelites could not distinguish between good and evil, right and wrong, righteousness and iniquity, God and Mammon, justice and injustice.  Oh what a tangled web we weave when once we decide to remain neutral or adopt a spirit of patriotic compromise which would accuse righteous Naboth of “blaspheming God and the king!” (I Kings 21:14-15 – “The Message Version”) – against the “Church and the State!”  Noting is more potent that “righteous patriotism” – a total distortion and misplacement of divine energy reflected amongst God’s people who are tempted to renounce the social plight and contagions of our day, only to dissipate the spirit reborn by the Holy Spirit and the original reason of our being “in Christ” – and not “in the world.”

It could and shall be said a thousand times:

“My kingdom is not of this world.  If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight . . . but now My kingdom is not from here” (John 18:36).
